The main component of GBM Trailer Service has always been the quality and consistency of our service
GBM was founded in 1988 by a group of highly skilled tradesmen who didn’t want to get lost in the corporate shuffle. So, with the aid of a small business loan, they launched GBM Trailer Service at 8516 40 St SE in Calgary, Alberta.
GBM was conceived as a specialty tanker trailer shop to repair and care for all makes and models of tankers. GBM quickly developed a reputation for first-class quality, craftsmanship, and customer service. On a given day, you’ll see us working on premium tankers and barrels from Polar, Heil, Tremcar, Columbia/REMTEC, Almac, Allweld, Bedard, Mac, STE, Biel, and Advance/Lazer.
There have been some changes over the years, including a move in 2006 to a larger facility at 9300 Endeavor Drive SW in Calgary. We quickly expanded our product mix by offering parts, hoses, and equipment sales. Need a special part for your tanker? Call us. Our parts department is second to none and if we don’t have a part in stock, we’ll get it for you fast and at a fair price.

GBM proudly offers tanker inspections, certifications, maintenance & repair, warranty work, insurance, and completions on highway tanks and portable tanks in accordance with the CSA B620 standard. We also service a wide range of transportation industries including alcohol, chemical, energy, food, fuel, mining, paving, vacuum, and water services.
The difference between success and failure is a great team. The legendary coach Vince Lombardi said, “Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a teamwork, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” The life cycle of an average employee is between three to four years — yet at GBM Trailer Service that number is more than double. We have several employees who have 10 + years of continuous service. It’s this commitment and dedication that makes our team so strong and our staff so great.
